• Alethios is designed to enable researchers to design studies to collect real-world data for clinical research purposes. As such, we may collect information related to the studies you design as a researcher, such as user behavior within your organization, the data collection instruments you use, notification scheduling, adherence preferences and associated participant information. We use this information to improve your study design experience as a researcher.

• We may collect information about how you use Alethios, including log files, device information, and IP addresses, to improve our services and user experience.

Primarily, we use the information collected to provide and improve Alethios, including delivering the services requested, facilitating communication, and enhancing user experience.

• We may use the information collected to understand, personalize and improve user experience with Alethios. We may also use this information to support Alethios’ business purposes; for example, to understand how we may continue to offer and support your use of Alethios.

• Research data collected through Alethios is used only for the specific purposes defined by the researchers, and agreed to by participants participating in Alethios’ studies, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

• We may use your contact information to send you updates, newsletters, and other communications related to Alethios. You can opt-out of these communications at any time.

With Researchers:

• Research data collected through Alethios is shared with the researchers who own the respective projects and studies.

• We may engage third-party service providers to assist with the operation of Alethios and related services, and they may have access to your information for this purpose.

• We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Data Security:

• We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

• You may request that your researcher account data and information collected be deleted by contacting us at researchersupport@alethios.com with the email address used to create your account.
• In some circumstances, we may not delete all of your data, and we may continue to use your data if it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), to meet regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, etc. When requested, your information is deleted within 45 days of a deletion request, except where retention is necessary as described by this Privacy Policy.
